This policy is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the Flortyme Foundational Operating Principles.

PURPOSE

Flortyme is committed to fostering welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for participation in dance, movement, learning, social connection, and community activities.

The organization recognizes that participants bring diverse experiences, abilities, backgrounds, interests, goals, and perspectives to the community.

This policy establishes Flortyme's commitment to promoting accessibility, inclusion, participation, and respectful engagement.

PARTICIPATION

Flortyme seeks to create opportunities that encourage participation by individuals with varying levels of experience, ability, confidence, and familiarity with dance and movement activities.

Participants are welcome whether they are:

• New to dance

• Returning after time away

• Social participants

• Recreational dancers

• Competitive dancers

• Instructors

• Organizers

• Community members

All participants should be treated with dignity, courtesy, and respect.

INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENTS

Flortyme seeks to maintain environments where participants feel welcome, supported, and encouraged to participate.

Participants are expected to contribute positively to a culture of respect, cooperation, learning, and community engagement.

ACCESSIBILITY

Flortyme recognizes that accessibility needs may vary.

Where reasonably possible and practical, consideration may be given to accessibility-related requests, venue selection, participation accommodations, communication methods, and program delivery.

Availability of accommodations may depend upon:

• Venue limitations

• Operational considerations

• Safety requirements

• Resource availability

• Third-party facility restrictions

Flortyme cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated in every circumstance.

COMMUNICATION

Participants are encouraged to communicate accessibility-related concerns, participation needs, or accommodation requests as early as possible.

Early communication assists in evaluating available options and potential accommodations.

RESPECTFUL PARTICIPATION

Participants are expected to:

• Treat others respectfully

• Support welcoming environments

• Avoid exclusionary conduct

• Encourage participation

Conduct inconsistent with Community Standards may result in restrictions on participation.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Flortyme believes that strong communities are built through encouragement, cooperation, patience, mentorship, learning, and mutual respect.

Participants are encouraged to support one another and contribute positively to community experiences.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Flortyme recognizes that accessibility and inclusion are ongoing processes.

The organization will seek opportunities to improve participation experiences, communication practices, venue selection, programming, and community engagement where reasonably possible.

ORGANIZATIONAL RIGHTS

Implementation of accommodations, accessibility measures, participation modifications, and inclusion initiatives remains subject to safety considerations, legal obligations, venue requirements, operational realities, and available resources.

INTERPRETATION

Where uncertainty exists regarding the interpretation of this policy, the Flortyme Foundational Operating Principles shall govern.

A commitment made is a commitment honored.
