New Participant Trial Policy
Q: What is the New Participant Trial?
The New Participant Trial - Flortyme is designed for individuals who would like to experience the Flortyme ballroom community before committing to membership.
Each individual may participate in up to two trial visits.
After the second trial visit, continued participation requires an active Affiliate Membership or another eligible Flortyme membership level.
This policy helps ensure fair access to ballroom floor opportunities while keeping introductory access available for new participants exploring Flortyme for the first time.
The New Participant Trial - Flortyme is intended to provide individuals with an opportunity to experience the Flortyme ballroom community before committing to membership.
Each individual may participate in up to two trial visits. After the second trial visit, continued participation requires an active Affiliate Membership or another eligible Flortyme membership level.
This policy supports fair access to ballroom floor opportunities, encourages community participation, and helps ensure that introductory access remains available to new participants exploring Flortyme for the first time.
Q: What is Shared Floor Time?
Shared Floor Time is designated ballroom floor access that has been intentionally allocated for community participation. It allows eligible participants to enjoy ballroom floor opportunities within a shared environment while supporting social connection, practice, and community engagement.
Once Shared Floor Time has been designated and published, it becomes a protected community commitment.
Shared Floor Time will not be cancelled, displaced, reduced, or refunded to accommodate later reservations, membership upgrades, private bookings, or other requests. Later reservations may only use genuinely uncommitted floor space that has not already been designated or reserved.
This policy helps ensure fair access, protects community participation, and maintains confidence in published ballroom floor opportunities.
Q: Why can't a later reservation replace Shared Floor Time?
Flortyme operates on the principle that published commitments should be honored.
When Shared Floor Time has been designated and published, participants should be able to rely on that opportunity remaining available as advertised. Allowing later reservations to displace existing Shared Floor Time would undermine fairness, reduce trust, and create uncertainty for community participants.
For this reason, later reservations may only use floor space that remains genuinely uncommitted at the time of booking.
DO I NEED A MEMBERSHIP?
Some activities may be available to the public, while others may provide additional benefits or access opportunities through membership.
Membership is encouraged but may not be required for all activities.
WHAT IS AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP?
Affiliate Membership is Flortyme's free membership option.
It allows individuals to participate in the community, receive communications, register for eligible activities, and stay informed about upcoming programs and events.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PAID MEMBERSHIP?
