VENUE & FACILITY USE POLICY

This policy is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the Flortyme Foundational Operating Principles.

PURPOSE

Flortyme utilizes dance studios, community facilities, event venues, partner locations, and other approved spaces to provide programs, services, events, floor practice opportunities, workshops, and community activities.

This policy establishes expectations regarding the use of facilities, venues, equipment, and shared spaces.

RESPECT FOR VENUES

Participants are expected to respect all facilities, venues, furnishings, equipment, fixtures, and property used in connection with Flortyme activities.

Participants should leave facilities in substantially the same condition in which they were found, subject to normal use.

VENUE RULES

Participants must comply with:

• Venue policies

• Posted facility requirements

• Occupancy limitations

• Safety procedures

• Parking requirements

• Food and beverage restrictions

• Emergency procedures

• Directions provided by venue personnel

Where venue requirements differ from organizational practices, venue requirements shall prevail.

AUTHORIZED USE

Facilities may only be used for approved activities, reservations, programs, events, workshops, rentals, and participation opportunities authorized by Flortyme or the venue operator.

Participants may not:

• Access restricted areas

• Use equipment without authorization

• Modify venue configurations without approval

• Conduct unauthorized commercial activities

• Interfere with other users of the facility

CARE OF PROPERTY

Participants are expected to exercise reasonable care when using facilities, furnishings, flooring, sound equipment, seating, tables, décor, or other venue assets.

Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or unauthorized activities may result in financial responsibility, participation restrictions, or other corrective measures.

FOOTWEAR & FLOOR PROTECTION

Only appropriate footwear suitable for the activity and venue should be used on dance floors and activity surfaces.

Participants may be required to change footwear, remove footwear, or comply with venue-specific floor protection requirements.

Flortyme reserves the right to restrict footwear that may damage flooring or create safety concerns.

CLEANLINESS & HOUSEKEEPING

Participants are expected to:

• Dispose of waste appropriately

• Remove personal belongings at the conclusion of activities

• Respect shared spaces

• Help maintain clean and welcoming environments

Participants may be responsible for costs associated with excessive cleanup or damage resulting from their actions.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Food and beverages may only be consumed where permitted by the venue or event organizer.

Alcohol consumption, where permitted, must comply with all applicable laws, venue requirements, event conditions, and organizational policies.

SAFETY

Participants are expected to:

• Follow safety instructions

• Report hazards when observed

• Avoid unsafe conduct

• Cooperate during emergencies

• Respect occupancy limits and access restrictions

Safety concerns should be reported promptly to organizers, venue personnel, or event representatives.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

Participants remain responsible for their own personal belongings at all times.

Flortyme, venue partners, organizers, volunteers, and facility operators are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal property.

THIRD-PARTY VENUES

Many Flortyme activities occur at facilities owned and operated by independent third parties.

Participants acknowledge that venue operators may establish additional requirements, policies, procedures, fees, restrictions, or conditions of use.

Participants are expected to comply with both Flortyme policies and venue requirements.

ORGANIZATIONAL RIGHTS

Flortyme reserves the right to:

• Refuse access

• Restrict participation

• Modify facility use requirements

• Relocate activities

• Suspend privileges

• Remove participants

where necessary to support safety, venue obligations, operational requirements, legal compliance, or community well-being.

INTERPRETATION

Where uncertainty exists regarding the interpretation of this policy, the Flortyme Foundational Operating Principles shall govern.
